Sign-up, sign-in and profile

The community and the app share one account. The login panel says so: 「与换换工具同一个账号——这里注册了,工具 app 直接登录,反过来也一样。」(Same account as the HuanHuan tool — sign up here and the app signs you straight in, and the other way round.) If you already registered at app.huanhuan.com.au, use that phone number / email and password here; sign up in the community and you can log in to the tool with it too.

The community is Chinese-only for now

Every button and message on this page is quoted in its original Chinese with an English gloss in brackets, so you can match what is on screen.

Where the login panel is

Three entry points open the same panel:

  • 「登录」(Log in) at the top right on a phone; on a computer it sits at the bottom of the left rail, also 「登录」.
  • Logged out, tap anything that needs an account (post, comment, apply for a job…) and you get 「登录或注册后才能……」(Log in or sign up to …) with a 「登录 / 注册」(Log in / Sign up) button.
  • Logged out, open 「我的」(Me): the profile card has a 「登录 / 注册」button on the right.

The panel has two tabs at the top: 「已有账号」(I have an account) — small print 「手机号或邮箱 + 密码」(phone or email + password) — and 「新用户注册」(New user sign-up) — small print 「短信 / 邮件验证码」(SMS / email code). The account field is labelled 「手机号或邮箱」(Phone or email), placeholder 「04xx xxx xxx 或 you@example.com」. Anything with an @ is treated as an email; otherwise it must be an Australian mobile (starts with 04, 10 digits).

I have an account: log in

On the 「已有账号」tab, enter your phone or email, your 「密码」(password), tap 「登录」(Log in). On success a toast reads 「欢迎,{your name} · 换换账号已通」(Welcome, … · HuanHuan account connected).

Common errors: 「账号或密码不对」(wrong account or password), 「手机号格式不对(04 开头共 10 位)」(bad phone format — starts with 04, 10 digits), 「邮箱格式不对」(bad email format), 「操作太频繁,稍等一会再试」(too many attempts, wait a moment).

Old account, never set a password?

The hint under the password field says: 「还没设过密码的老账号,点下面「忘记密码」设一个」(Old accounts without a password: tap Forgot password below to set one). If you only ever logged in to the app with a code and never set a password, use the reset flow below to create one.

Forgot password

Phone and email share one button: 「忘记密码?发链接重置」(Forgot password? Send a reset link). Fill in the account, tap it, and the page says:

「如果这个账号已注册,重置链接已发到手机短信或邮箱(1 小时内有效;邮箱需是验证过的)。在换换工具里设好新密码后回来登录。」(If this account exists, a reset link has been sent by SMS or email — valid 1 hour; the email must be verified. Set your new password in the HuanHuan tool, then come back and log in.)

The link opens the app's reset page; set the new password there, then log in to the community. If the number is not registered the message is identical — it never tells you whether an account exists.

New user: three steps

On the 「新用户注册」tab, enter a phone number or email. The button follows the input: 「发送短信验证码」(Send SMS code) for a phone, 「发送邮件验证码」(Send email code) for an email. Mistyped? 「修改账号」(Change account) takes you back. Already registered: 「这个手机号已注册,直接登录即可」/「这个邮箱已注册,直接登录即可」(this phone / email is registered, just log in).

「短信验证码」/「邮件验证码」(SMS / email code), 6 digits, 「10 分钟内有效」(valid 10 minutes). Tap 「下一步」(Next); nothing arrived — 「重发验证码」(Resend code). Wrong: 「验证码不对或已过期」(code wrong or expired).

「名字」(Name — hint 「实名,显示可半匿名」: real name, can be shown semi-anonymously; placeholder 「怎么称呼」: what should we call you) and 「设置密码」(Set a password — too short gives 「密码至少 6 位」: at least 6 characters). Tap 「完成注册」(Finish sign-up). To get a fresh code, 「返回验证码步骤 / 重新获取」(Back to the code step / get a new one).

The last line of the panel: 「半匿名仅隐藏公开署名，平台仍保留账号与发言记录」(Semi-anonymous only hides your public byline; the platform still keeps the account and the record of what you said). Your name is your public nickname; when posting you can switch to a semi-anonymous alias (below).

Signed up with email? Add a phone number before taking jobs

An email account can post and chat in the community, but the app needs a phone number before you open a store, join by invite or take a job. How to add one: Account and login · When you must have a phone number.

First login: complete your profile

After logging in or signing up, anyone who has not picked a role lands on 「完善档案」(Complete your profile):

The first time the button is 「开始使用」(Start using) and the toast says 「档案已建好 · 欢迎进换换社区」(Profile created · welcome to HuanHuan Community); later edits end with 「保存」(Save) and 「档案已保存」(Profile saved). The footer reads 「常住区只到区一级,不会展示门牌;技能只用于派单匹配」(Suburb only, never a street number; skills are used only for job matching).

Existing users who never picked a role are not blocked: the profile card on 「我的」says 「还没选身份」(No role yet) with a dashed card underneath, 「选个身份、填常住区和能接的活,派单才找得到你」(Pick a role, fill in your suburb and skills so dispatch can find you) — it opens the same page. The button at the top right of the card is 「完善档案」(Complete profile) until you have one, then 「编辑」(Edit).

「账号设置」(Account settings — small print 「名字 · 电邮」: name · email) is in the menu on 「我的」, visible only when logged in. Under the title: 「与换换工具同一账号,这里改了工具里也会变」(Same account as the HuanHuan tool — change it here and it changes there too).

  • Name: edit, tap 「保存」(Save), toast 「名字已更新」(Name updated). Up to 80 characters.
  • Email
    • Not linked yet: enter 「新邮箱」(New email) → 「发送邮件验证码」(Send email code) → 「验证码已发到 {email}(10 分钟内有效)」(code sent to …, valid 10 minutes) → enter 「邮件验证码」(Email code) → 「验证并绑定」(Verify and link) → 「邮箱已更新」(Email updated). Wrong address? 「换个邮箱 / 重发」(Different email / resend).
    • Linked: shows the address, a checkbox 「站内通知也发到这个邮箱」(Also send in-site notifications to this email), and 「更换邮箱」(Change email).
    • Errors: 「这个邮箱已被别的账号使用」(email used by another account), 「这已经是你当前的邮箱」(already your current email).
  • Unlink: the red 「解绑」(Unlink) button only appears on accounts that also have a phone number; tapping it gives 「邮箱已解绑」(Email unlinked). An email-only account could not log in afterwards, so it has no such button.

Same record as “Edit profile” in the app

The name and email you change under Me → "Edit" → "Edit profile" in the app are the same account; 「站内通知也发到这个邮箱」is the same switch as "Also notify me by email" in the app. How email notifications work: Messages and reminders.

Semi-anonymous alias

When writing a post there is an identity button at the bottom left of the composer (「选择发布身份」: choose posting identity). It opens 「以谁的身份发」(Post as whom): 「半匿名马甲」(semi-anonymous alias) or 「账号昵称」(account nickname). The alias defaults to 「社区成员」(Community member); type your own under 「自定义公开马甲」(Custom public alias — placeholder 「如：周末遛狗的人」: e.g. weekend dog walker) and tap 「保存」(Save).

Semi-anonymous only hides your name from others: 「半匿名仅隐藏公开署名，平台仍保留账号与发言记录」. More in Discover and posting.

Account-related things on the Me page

  • Profile card: avatar, name, masked phone number (email if there is no phone) followed by 「· 与换换工具同一账号」(· same account as the HuanHuan tool), then the profile summary (role · city suburb · within N km) and your skills.
  • Menu (top to bottom): 「邀请朋友」(Invite friends — small print 「内测邀请制 · 有成交记录才可担保」: invite-only beta, you vouch with your deal history; remaining slots on the right), 「通知」(Notifications), 「👤 我的公开主页」(My public profile — 「别人看到的样子」: how others see you), 「商家橱窗」(Merchant showcase, phone only), 「账号设置」(Account settings), and a red 「退出登录」(Log out). Admins get an extra 「复核队列」(Review queue).
  • Invite friends: the dialog 「邀请朋友进换换社区」(Invite friends to HuanHuan Community) shows 「内测邀请制 · 你有 N 个名额 · 你的成交记录就是担保」(Invite-only beta · you have N slots · your deal history is the guarantee), the code in large type, and 「复制邀请内容」(Copy invite text) → 「邀请内容已复制 · 可以发给朋友」(Copied · send it to a friend); if the browser blocks copying you get 「浏览器未允许自动复制。请长按上方邀请内容，选择「复制」。」(Copy blocked — long-press the text above and choose Copy). What you copy is one block: 「换换社区邀请码 {code} · 注册链接 https://social.huanhuan.com.au/?invite={code}」(HuanHuan Community invite code … · sign-up link …). Send it as is. Your friend opens the community through that link; once they sign up or log in, the code is applied automatically and the page shows 「邀请码已生效 · 欢迎进换换社区」(Invite code accepted · welcome). There is no code field on the sign-up panel — the link does the work. The small print at the bottom of the dialog, 「被邀请的朋友注册时填码即可进;你担保的人出问题会占用你的信用,看准再给。」(They just enter the code when signing up; if someone you vouched for causes trouble it counts against your credit, so choose carefully), is old wording in its first half — follow the link flow; the second half still applies.
  • Log out: toast 「已退出登录」(Logged out).

Session expired

The page shows 「登录已过期，请重新登录」(Session expired, please log in again). A half-written post is not lost: 「登录已过期，草稿已保留。先按本地建议继续编辑，重新登录后再发布。」(Session expired, draft kept. Keep editing with the local suggestions, log in again, then publish.)

Recovering a guest identity

The community no longer supports guest posting or chatting. If you once posted an 「我想要 / 我有闲置」matching request as a guest in some browser:

  • Log in in that same browser and those posts and conversations attach to your account automatically.
  • Switched browsers: open social.huanhuan.com.au/i/recover 「找回访客身份」(Recover guest identity). The page says 「在原来的浏览器「我的」页点「备份 / 换设备」,复制找回码或找回链接,粘贴到这里。」(In the original browser, on the Me page tap Back up / Switch device, copy the recovery code or link and paste it here.) Paste the code or link you backed up at the time into the 「粘贴找回码或找回链接」(Paste recovery code or link) box and tap 「下一步」(Next).
  • A bad format gives 「找回码格式不对,请粘贴完整的找回码或找回链接」(wrong format, paste the full code or link); if this browser already holds that identity: 「这个浏览器已经是这个身份了,不用恢复。」(This browser already is that identity, nothing to recover) + 「去我的」(Go to Me).
  • Before restoring, two reminders: 「恢复后,这个浏览器会用找回码对应的身份,能看到那个身份发的帖和会话。」(After recovery this browser uses the identity behind the code and can see its posts and conversations.) 「这个浏览器现在的访客身份名下的帖会找不到(除非你也有它的找回码)。」(Posts under this browser's current guest identity will no longer be reachable unless you also have its code.) Confirm and you get 「已恢复访客身份」(Guest identity restored); log in, and the posts attach to your account.

Never backed up a recovery code?

Without the code the guest identity cannot be recovered — guest posts only answer to their code.
