The public board: recruit from the community¶

None of your own helpers can take the job, and you don't want to turn it away — put it on the board and let people you don't know apply for it.

The app says it like this: "Own helpers can't take it? Publish it so people in the community can apply. The board shows one flat price; customer details stay hidden until you confirm."

Why the price has to be one number: with your own helpers you negotiate one by one and you know who gets what. The board is a listing strangers read — one job, one price. Whoever takes it gets that amount.

\"Flat price\" and \"Fixed price\" are the same thing

Chinese calls both 一口价 — one agreed number, no hourly meter. English just labels it differently by screen: the board's box says Flat price, the private dispatch page says Fixed price, and the reprice row shortens it to Fixed. The only real difference is who agrees the number — each helper separately, or everyone on the board at one price.

You need a dispatch first

The board is not a separate entry point. First create a dispatch from a job card ("🤝 Subcontract") or from a repair / cleaning ticket ("🤝 Subcontract to a helper"). Publishing is a switch on that dispatch.

And that dispatch needs at least one of your own helpers with an amount filled in (Fixed price) or ticked (⏱ Hourly). With nobody in the store, the page stops you: "No helpers yet. Go to Settings → Edit store / storefront / invite helpers to generate an invite code, then dispatch once they join."

Publishing¶

Open the dispatch and find the card "🌏 Recruit from the public board":

Type an amount into the Flat price box. It has to be above 0, or you get "Set the flat price first".
Tap Publish. There is no second confirmation — it goes live straight away.

Once it is live:

A coral chip "🌏 Public" appears at the top of the dispatch.
The card text becomes "Live on the public board · flat price $XX. Community users can apply; they can't see customer details until you confirm.", with only an Unpublish button under it.
In the "🤝 Job assignment" and "🤝 Collab" lists, that row is tagged "🌏 Public" too.

Changing the board price

Once published, the price box is gone from the card. To change it, tap Unpublish, then fill it in and publish again — your last number is still in the box.

The privacy line¶

Applicants cannot see your customer until you confirm

Before you confirm, an applicant sees only: which store, what the job is, the date and time window, the general area, and what it pays them.

What they do not see: the exact address, the customer's name, the customer's phone.

This is not the address hidden away in small print somewhere on the page — those rows simply are not in an applicant's view. For a helper you invited yourself, the same spot shows the full address.

On the applicant's own screen it reads: "Applied — waiting for the owner to confirm. Until then only the general area is shown, no exact address or customer details."

This one matters to your customer as much as to you: putting a job on the board does not send their address and phone out with it. It unlocks the moment you tap "✓ Confirm" — not before.

Who can apply, and on what rules¶

They do not have to be your helper first. The app's wording is "people in the community can apply".
Applying happens on the community side (Huanhuan Social), which is still rolling out — app.huanhuan.com.au has no page for browsing board jobs or submitting an application. What you do in the app is publish and review.
People who have already applied can see their own applications in the app under 🤝 Collab → "🌏 My public-board applications (n)": store name · amount · status, with 📅 date and time and 📍 the general area below, plus two buttons, "Details/chat" and "Withdraw" (which asks "Withdraw this application?").

Application rules: trust the app, not this page

How many applications one person can have open, whether someone you declined can apply again, whether a board listing expires on its own — that is decided on the server. There is no countdown and no quota shown anywhere in the interface. If an action isn't allowed, the app tells you plainly: "Can't do that right now." We are not going to invent numbers here.

Reviewing applicants: chat first, then confirm¶

Applications do not push a notification. The only signal is a coral badge on the list, "🌏 {n} applied" — so check back yourself.

Open the dispatch and you get a card, "🌏 Public applicants ({n})", one row per person:

their name (or just "Helper" if they left it blank);
the amount this job pays them;
a purple chip, "{n} jobs done on platform".

No photo, no star rating, no bio. Jobs done on the platform is the only credential the board gives them — earned by doing the work, not by writing about it.

Every applicant has a one-to-one chat under their row, and you can chat before confirming. The card puts it this way: "Chat first if you like. Confirming makes them a helper of your store and reveals the full address and customer details."

Two buttons:

Decline — asks "Decline {name}'s application?" first.
✓ Confirm — asks "Confirm {name} for this job ($XX)? They'll become a helper of your store and see the full address and customer details."

That single tap does three things at once: they take the job, they become a helper of your store (no separate invite code needed), and the full address and customer details unlock.

From there it is exactly the same path as a helper you invited: they tap "✓ Mark complete" when the work is done, you pay them offline, you come back and tap "Mark paid", and on their side it turns into "✓ Paid".

Unpublishing¶

The Unpublish button on the card asks first:

Unpublish this job? Existing applications are kept — you can still confirm or decline them.

So unpublishing is not a way to clear the decks. Everyone who already applied stays in "🌏 Public applicants" waiting for you, and you can still confirm or decline them. It only pulls the listing back from the community so no new people apply.

Afterwards the card goes back to showing the price box, so you can put it up again any time.

Why it is worth sending work out¶

Swallowing a job you can't actually staff earns you a bad review. Handing it to someone else earns you a favour.

Give work out today and people think of you when they have work tomorrow. The board is a net of people who remember each other, not a chute for dumping jobs.
Every job you send out helps someone build a credential. "Jobs done on platform" is earned one job at a time — publish one more and the community has one more person worth calling.
Keep at it long enough and they open their own store. Then they are the owner with jobs they can't take — and they tend to hand them to whoever gave them a start.

One person's fleet only gets so big. A circle's fleet keeps growing.
